Silver and Gold!

In City Folk, Nintendo introduced a brand-new feature for the game, they are the silver tools. Now, this introduction has broght a bit of confusions about, so here I am to clear it all up. First, I will list the tool in question, how to get the silver and gold versions, what each version does, and which is considered a better match for your animal crossing lifestyle.

Axe - Both the silve and gold can be obtained by throwing your normal axe into the town fountain. (NOT the city fountain) the town fountain becomes available after you have donated 700,000 bells to the town fund. (200,000 for the spare bridge, then another 500,000 for the fountain) the Silver Axe never breaks, and the Golden axe never breaks AND cuts down trees faster.

Slingshot - Silver- found in nooks shop (on rare occasions) shoots 2 bullets insted of one

Gold - can be shot down after shooting down 15 other flying things shoots 3 bullets

Gold is the Best choice in this situation

Fishing Rod - silver, bought in nooks shop, has a stronger lure

Gold, given to you by tortimer after catching every single fish in the game, it has a VERY strong lure and gives you an aditional second of time to waste before reeling in a fish (aka Colacanth catching is a peice of CAKE)

Choose the gold

Shovel- silver- found in Resettii's lair in the city (after 8pm on random nights, veer right and go to the traffic cones in the city, if youre lucky, you will be able to get in) the sliver shovel digs up rarer fossils AND give you a 10% chance of dobleing the money you get from Rocking

Gold - this is one of the rare instances where the gold is easier to get then the silver. all you have to do is bury a normal shovel for a day. the golden shovel can plant money trees. (These, however are very hard to grow)

I keep both, although i usually use the silver one.

Net - silver can be bought and has a bigger net then the normal, and gold can only be gotten by catching all bugs. its WAY big and WAY cool. so go with the gold

Watering Can - Silver, sent to you after you buy 50+ seed bags from nook. Can restore wilted red turnips. Gold - keep perfect enviroment (VERY EXTREEMLY HARD) for 16 days. makes golden roses. I say it all depends. I, as a turnip grower, prefer the silver, though a florist may take to the gold

I hope this helped everyone. thanks for reading Crossing Weekly

Bags of Bells! How to make money in City Folk

Isn't money a wonderful thing? Now, I'm here to give you some money-making tips for the new year!

1. Sell Fruit. Even your local fruit. A full inventory of local fruit will still get you 1,500 good bells. If you want foreign fruit, check out animalcrossingcommunity.com's boards. There will be undoubtably someone willing to trade fruit with you!

2. Fish. It reels in a lot of dough! Also catching bugs is great. If you don't mind time-traveling, Summer Nights are the best time for fish and bugs.

3. Dig around. many fossils are worth 2,000+ and Nook buys gyroids for about 800 bells. At the flea market, however, you can sell them for 2,000+

4. If you don't mind time-traveling, time-travel to Christmas Eve, Halloween, or Bunny Day. The furniture you will get is worth 12,000+ each.

5. Check out animalcrossingcommunity's givaway boards. Many people are willing to give you rare items and such!

6. Save your money in the ABD. You get interest every 1st of the month.

I hope this helps everyone! Have a GREAT year!
