The Grass Disaster

We all should know the feeling by now. It's Nintendo's main mistake with this game, the horrible "animal tracks" that apear in our town only days after creating it. There are, however, a few good solutions to this problem. The first thing to do is prevent grass decay in the first place. walk, don't run, and avoid takeing the same path to your destination every time. If you already have paths worn down, there's still hope! There are two options, option one requires Time Traveling, if you are not comfortable Time Traveling, or you are afraid it will mess up your other games, do not attempt this option. To do this, time travel to March and plant trees and flowers all over your town. Then save, and time travel one day ahead. Once you get Rover to set you up, don't move an inch! Save, time travel one more day, and repeat the process. when you get to June 1st, Time Travel Back to March. March-May is the wet season, where grass will grow faster. Option #2 is a lot more bother, more time-consuming, and does not lead to as good results. However, for those of you who do not enjoy time traveling, this is a better option. Go to Nook's and buy as many flowers as you can. plant them over any areas you wish to fix, and also plant trees and such around (or on) the dead areas. Then, don't walk on that area, at all, untill the grass has completely recoverd. Walking on the grass even once a day cancles out the healing affect that day! It should take about 20-30 days for option 2 to work.

now for some preventative measures you can take:

1. Never Run

2. Plant trees and flowers in areas you frequently walk on

3. try to start your game as few times as possible during the day, a "loading" effect wears down grass, i know it sounds weird, but trust me on this one

4. encourage your visitors to follow these rules

5. walk up different sides of your ramps every day

hopefuly Nintendo will release a patch for this problem soon!

Jingle! Jingle! Jingle!

What to do when Jingle comes to town? In the GameCube version, all you had to do was change your shirt and he was fooled, in CityFolk, however, the process is slightly more complex. Firstly, you have to find Jingle, he will either be out wandering around, or in one of your dark neighbors houses. He won't go in to houses that your neighbors are in, and he won't go into any human players houses. Once you find Jingle, take off all your assesories and hats and such and talk to him, after reciving your gift, enter a nearby house, and put on a hat, assessorie, or both! As long as you don't use the same combo twice, Jingle will still give you a present. It's like those problems your teachers gave you in second grade, "You are in a SubWay, there are three types of bread, three types of meat, and three types of toppings, considering you only have enough money for one bread, one meat and one topping, how many different combos can you get?" Now aren't you glad you paid attention in math :3? Remember to stock up on hats and assesories, and remember that you can use flowers and your patterens as hats and assesories too! Roses count as assessories and all other flowers as hats.

Hot Styles for December

Do you know whats hot in fashion right now? Bold, bright stripes are the WAY TO GO!

Also, the cute new Animal Costumes are all the rage! From left to right:

1. Grape Stripe Tee (Able Sisters) accented with a Halo (2,500 bells from Able Sisters) with the adition of spicey firey hair, this style makes a bold, but innocently cute statement to your friends.

2. A Frog Top and a Frog Hat (both from Able Sisters) will help you fit in with your fellow neighbors. This cute ensamble goes great with any figure, and can bring a touch of cuteness into your life.

3. Be Smooth! Be Sophisticated! This Zebra Striped Shirt (GracieGrace) and this charming Berret (Able Sisters) give the impression of French-like Glamor and Importance. It goes great with most face-types and looks best with Safe, Mysterious, or Firey hair.

4. Stay warm this winter with a Blue Aryle Top (GracieGrace) Its styleish, and looks great on both men and women. It is accented here with a Star Hairpin (Able Sisters) but would also look good with fresh cut flowers (80 bells from Nook, or you can find them growing wildly) It is a great style that will simply WOW your neighbors!
